Is sharing your love of the Golden State just your thing and do you revel in the idea of keeping your finger on the pulse to the West Coast of the USA? This first-ever travel collab with Visit California is for you!

Visit California has partnered with United Airlines and Infinity Holidays to find passionate, well-connected Aussie travel agents to get involved in advocating the world’s ultimate playground.

Working with Infinity Holidays, this means that you have access to the world’s best travel products. And flying with United Airlines, recently announcing its large-scale network expansion to and from the States – you’re in good hands.

As a member of the California Agent Advisory Council (CAAC), you’ll be part of a small group of industry trailblazers who are joining forces to shape the market between Australia and the USA.

The call out is for Australia-based travel agents with strong knowledge and experience in selling California to get involved as an advisory council member and take part in an epic all-inclusive trip – uncovering what’s new on the ground, creating content and attending two meet ups.

Picture this: you’re exploring the palm-fringed city of Los Angeles or San Francisco with a small group of influential travel agents – discovering the icons in new ways, adding the best local spots to your California pocketbook and sharing these golden moments with your networks.

Does this sound like your jam?

After nominating and going through for consideration, you’ll be involved in a two-week selection process.

Once the group is finalised, the next exciting opportunity is a famil to California, which kicks off with a content masterclass from a pro at Karryon

You could then be stepping foot into the arena where sporting greats have made history or breaking out and into wine country to swirl a glass from a world-class small-batch barrel while sampling paddock to place morsels – surrounded by California’s mountain ranges – the secret to why the state produces such a top drop.

While the whole shebang of the trip is under wraps for now – this is what could light up your ‘gram.

#1: Los Angeles + Santa Barbara

Take a non-stop flight service from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane with United Airlines (the airline network has seriously expanded recently) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and get ready to lap up sporting history. Perhaps you’ll stay in the Downtown Los Angeles area, close to where the action happens.

It only seems fitting that you visit SOFI Stadium, home to the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams. Then take a walk to where the stars are spotted skyward at Griffith Observatory – also the stunning location for a myriad of Hollywood films and concerts.

And while the city highlights never get old, the wheels are in motion for this trip to take you to new heights. This could lead to a road trip along the Central Coast to Santa Barbara to witness thousands of monarch butterflies gather in a natural reserve or spend the day sipping your way through the Santa Barba Urban Wine Trail.

That’s worth a toast.

#2: San Francisco + Santa Cruz

While LA lives and breathes the sunshine life, the alluring mistiness of San Francisco has visitors going back for more.

Start your morning with views of the Golden Gate Bridge (it’s iconic for a good reason) as one of the most photographed structures in the world. Later, bring on the evening to get courtside at a heart-pumping NBA match. And then be led beyond the highlights of the Golden City to see for yourself what else San Francisco has to offer.

Heading along the coast, the state’s iconic surf culture starts to come into focus, home to the Santa Cruz Surf Museum. The beachside town is surrounded by redwood forests and national parks, making for a day that could lead you up for a hike or down to the sand.

Surfs up!

If you think you know California, then think again.
