Discover Fiji’s local cuisine at the Flavours of Fiji Cooking School.  A day at this school starts with a colourful guided tour of the Nadi food market before using the beautiful fresh produce to cook your very own Fijian feast.

A morning at a Fijian local markets goes something like this: taking in the sights and smells of fragrant spices and freshly picked fruits, along with a curious collection of root crops before selecting your cooking ingredients.

Each dish created at the Flavours of Fiji is seasonal, which is why a morning at the markets is key to using the freshest produce available.

Fijian food reflects the cultural diversity of the archipelago which is largely made of native and Indo-Fijians (descending from India).

The menu at Flavours of Fiji reflects this. You will cook an eight-course menu split into three categories: Fijian selection, Indian selection and a Tropical Sweets selection.

The teachers at the cooking school’s modern headquarters will share their traditional cooking techniques and helpful hints together with some entertaining stories.

You’ll also learn some fascinating facts about the medicinal and nutritional value of the ingredients used in your class.

Adult cooking classes begin with a food culture presentation, followed by a fun cooking lesson, lunch, refreshments and of course your very own take-home recipes.
